Rotary Positive Displacement Twin Lobe Compressors

Salient Features:

The lobes are 8 in shape. Roots air blower/twin lobe compressor is a positive displacement, constant volume machine that operates against varying pressures. The compressor delivers a metered amount of air measured at inlet conditions with each revolution.
 

  1. The KE Series blowers cover models ranging from 36 AC to 615 AC.

  2. Developed in the early days of Kay Engineering, giving rise to the KE Series Blowers name.

  3. The series includes both air-cooled and water-cooled blowers.

  4. Water-cooled blowers are supplied for pressures above 7000 mmwg.

  5. Known for reliability and efficiency in various industrial applications.

Heavy Duty Rotary Positive Displacement Tri Lobe compressors (Roots Blowers)

Salient Features:

It employs two Tri-lobe impellers mounted on parallel shafts. Rotor tips are 120 degrees each in shape, rotating in opposite directions within a casing closed at the ends by side plates. As the impellers rotate, air is drawn into one side of the casing and forced out of the opposite side against the existing pressures.
 

  1. Bearings: 5 shaft roller bearings, suitable for both V-Belt & direct drives.

  2. Helical gears: Located on the drive side, enhancing input torque capability.

  3. Sealing system: Piston Ring Seals ensure lifetime reliability.

  4. Bearing holders: Heavy-duty holders on the thrust end improve axial load capability.

  5. Lubrication: Large oil sumps provide better bearing lubrication.

  6. Application: Suitable for pressure & vacuum operations.
